Skadar Lake is the largest lake in Southern Europe and the Balkan Peninsula, a national park and under conservation.
With a size of 370 – 530 km², the lake is home to over 270 species of birds, as well as 20 endemic plant and animal species.
In addition, the region around the Skadar Lake is a wine-growing area of the best wines of Montenegro, like the renowned Vranac red wine.
Whether for culinary delicacies, scenic villages, secluded islands or historic or natural landmarks, Skadar Lake offers a lot to discover.

Skadar Lake is home to 281 bird species, which is roughly 50% of the European bird species, including Pelican, cormorant, tern and heron. Because of the migratory birds, autumn and winter is the best observation time.
The guided tour includes organization and coordination with the park authorities as well as pickup and return. The guide leads you to special places and platforms specifically set up for birdwatching at the optimal day times. Food and equipment are not included.

Kotor is UNESCO World Heritage and considered the southernmost fjord of Europe. The Mediterranean old town has a centuries-old history, which is still reflected in the architecture of the buildings. At 1456 m above sea level, the small town Zabljak lies unusually high. It is in the middle of the untouched nature of the Durmitor national park, between high mountain peaks and glaciers.

Njegos mausoleum, built between 1970 and 1974 sits on the mountain peak Jezerski Vrh in Lovcen national park. 461 steps must be taken from the parking lot to the top, from where you can even see Kotor. Tip: Continue along the old serpentine road to Kotor from here.
